We have always looked at every one of our baskets as a work of art.  Each basket you see in our catalog was designed by our NBBC team, and has been woven by a team of skilled craftsman to be beautiful, yet functional.  There are many types of baskets and raw materials available around the globe.  At Nantucket Bike Baskets, we have painstakingly chosen only the best for our collection- all of our raw materials used have been hand-selected for strength and durability.

Rolled Rims are just plain better!

Most bicycle baskets are woven in a way you would make a decorative basket, one that you would use in your home as an accent piece.  The problem with this is that this type of weave is not conducive to use in bicycle baskets, which serve a functional purpose and are used on a daily basis.  The everyday wear-and-tear, as well as the natural elements on these bike baskets necessitate that they be woven in a tougher, stronger method.  This is why we have incorporated rolled rims on our Nantucket Bike Baskets.  This rolled rim weave ensures the baskets will hold up to the demands of everyday bike use.  With these rolled rims, you do not see a beginning or an end to the weave, which allows the rim to stay intact rather than unraveling as you would find with many other bicycle baskets.
